Mighty Himalayan 1 – Manali – Leh

We only have ten motorbikes on any one tour to allow everyone to enjoy a hassle free, personalised trip.
This Tour takes you over three of the worlds highest motor able roads. Amazing views surround us as we travel over the roof of the world up to heights of 18.380 ft. An amazing experience that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Day 1: Delhi
Land in Delhi and pick up from airport by an Extreme Bike Tour Director and taken to luxury hotel. We have a luxury car and driver on standby should anyone wish to visit any tourist attractions in the capital.
Day 2: Delhi – Parvati Valley (1:30 hr)
Pick up from airport and arrive 30 min later at hotel in Parvati Valley. Once checked in we will introduce you to your 500cc Bullet and then go for a short ride up into the Himalayan foothills near the infamous village of Malana. (15 km)
Day 3: Parvati – Kullu Valley
A relaxed ride today to acclimatise and get used to your Bullet. From Parvati Valley to Nagar in Kullu Valley for lunch. Then white water rafting on the Beas River and back to Parvati Valley.(120 km)
Day 4: Parvati – Kullu Manali
Today we pack up and head to Manali for one nights stay and acclimatising, Kullu Valley. Last minute shopping at the famous Mall and last chance for cocktails for a while. (100 km)
Day 5: Manali – Keylong
Over the Rohtang Pass (12,762 ft) we head down the other side into Lahaul Valley and head towards Keylong. Lunch will be served overlooking the Chandra River. This valley has waterfalls cascading down the mountain side and is extremely beautiful. Then onto our guesthouse for a nights stay.(100 km)
Day 6: Keylong – Sarchu
We head over our second pass today the mighty Baralacha la (16,617 ft). The roads over the pass are pretty good and the view is incredible. From here an easy ride to Sarchu (13,944 ft) for nights camping in our tents and acclimatising. (100 km)
Day 7: Sarchu – Rumtse
A big days ride today over Lachalang Pass (16,617 ft) and then over the Moray Plains, a beautiful desert surrounded by the towering Himalayan peaks. This is a great place to open up your Bullet a little before we head over the second highest pass that we ride over Tanglang la (17,480 ft) and then down into the first village in Ladakh, Rumste (13,779 ft) for a nights camping in our tents by a beautiful river. (180 km)
Day 8: Rumste – Leh
The first decent roads for a while take us through thrilling landscape and past Buddhist Monasteries. Then we follow the Indus River into Leh and our hotel and base for the next week. (80 km)
At 3,500m the air is thick in Leh and rest will be needed. Even after driving over the high passes acclimatising is still needed and you can feel quite tired.
Day 9: Leh
Rest day, shopping and bike maintenance in Leh.
Day 10: Leh – Lamayura Monastery
A ride to Lamayura Monastery is on today’s agenda and through Moon Valley to the top of Fotu Pass (13,431 ft) and return to Leh. This is a beautiful full day ride through valleys, up small passes and through some stunning Ladakh scenery. (120 km)
Day 11: Leh – Pong Gong Lake
Over Chang La, at 17,355 ft it is one of the worlds highest motor able passes towards the Chinese border to Pong Gong Lake. Half the lake is in India and the other half is in China. Camping in our tents. (150 km)
Day 12: Pong Gong Lake – Nubra
Over the Newly opened Wari La pass into the Nubra Valley. Desert and two humped camels can be seen here. Camping in our tents. (150 km)
Day 13: The big one! Nubra Valley – Leh
Today we ride over the highest motor able road in the world* Khardung La (18,380 ft). The road is very good over the pass and the view coming down the other side is a full panorama of the Himalayas surrounding Leh. (100 km)
Day 14: Leh – Hemis monastery
Day trip to Hemis monastery. Today we have a beautiful ride and discover some of the Buddhist history from the area. The monastery is perched into the side of the mountains and has an amazing museum to view old artifacts from Ladakh. (100 km)
Day 15: Leh – Delhi
Flight from Leh to Delhi. An early morning flight for 1.30 hrs should have you back in Delhi by Lunch. One night stay in Delhi.
