We meet in Galle and brief you about the tour.
Galle - Udawalawe
On leaving Galle we ride through the lush countryside of the south heading inland through stunning scenery. A beautiful ride on great roads and with very little traffic.
Udawalawe - Ella
Having woken to the sounds of the jungle we head out after a big breakfast for a day that takes us past lakes and forests then climbs up to 1500m into tea country and the highlands of Sri Lanka. This is a ride, which goes through jungle, hills and plantations weaving through a magical
backdrop of stunning scenery such as Lipton’s Seat and ending in Ella.
Ella - Nuwara Eliya
From the jungle, we head to Horton Plains a high altitude plain of montane grasslands and cloud forests in the shadow of two of Sri Lanka's highest mountains, before heading on to Nuwara Eliya a colonial hill station also known as ‘little England’. Here we stay in the Golf Club a building with lots of history and a great bar.
Nuwara Eliya - Knuckles
Today we head over the northern Knuckles through stunning landscapes on route to the most famous sites in Sri Lanka located in the cultural triangle.
Knuckles - Dambulla
Over the northern Knuckles today and down to the plains for some flatter faster riding to the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka. These are the ancient capitals and fortresses of Sri Lanka.
