About the On the Trail of Chinggis Khan - Mongolia Motorcycle Tour

Mongolia is a vast wilderness almost untouched and scattered with nomadic people and an abundance of animals.

Out here nomads are a living tradition. The Mongolian Motorcycle Tour is almost exclusively off the beaten track, once out of Ulaan Bataar there are very few roads and no traffic as 40% of the population live in the capital.

The terrain is vast and varied from rolling hills to mountains and you can almost touch the emptiness of this wildly stunning country. This is true adventure and together with our support crew we move through the landscape.

Accommodation is a mixture of wild camping, hunting lodges perched over the Selenge river and Gher Camps, that provide a touch of luxury when you least expect it.

With river crossings to contend and silver birch forests to ride through nature doesn’t get much better than this.

This is an epic adventure, not for the faint hearted. An unforgettable experience that will leave you amazed. Riding alongside herds of galloping horses, this tour will open your mind.

Mongolia is a land of Extremes and the temperatures drop between September and December very quickly. That said when we tour in July-September the weather can be hot and dry in the 20’s although it is changeable and we have to prepare for all eventualities. Needless to say the further North we go, the colder it gets.

Protective gear such as pants, boots and jackets for when riding. Waterproof jacket is also recommended. Warm clothing, especially for the cold nights.

Partners, family members or friends of riders can also join and travel in the support vehicle at Pillion price.

The minimum number of riders required for any tour in Mongolia is 8. The maximum number of riders per group is 10.
