We meet at our hotel in Delhi. Over dinner we have a chance to discuss the journey ahead and get acquainted.
Delhi - Mahansar
On the first day of the tour , we leave Delhi by bus and make our way to Chandni Midway where we pick up the bikes. At this distance from Delhi the traffic has thinned out making the prospect of riding more appealing. We ride to Mahansar a quaint slow moving Rajasthani village full of character.
Mahansar – Bikaner
Leaving Mahansar on our first full days ride we head towards the town of Bikaner. Surrounded by the Thar desert and boasting a beautiful 16th century fort and the Karni Mata Temple home to many rats!!
Bikaner - Jaisalmer
Out to the outpost in the desert the incredible Jaisalmer the ‘Golden City’ with its stunning fortress guarding the western side of the state. This is a living fort and wandering around it really feels like you are strolling through history.
Jaisalmer - Khuri
A short ride out into the desert and a chance to stay under the stars, ride camels or test your skills on the sand.
Khuri - Jodhpur
Riding out of the desert heading to Jodhpur and the incredible Mehrangarh fort that dominates the town. Blue painted houses can be seen from the fort ramparts.
Jodhpur - Ranakpur
Some fantastic riding today takes us to a Jain temple in the forest. Ranakpur really is an awe inspiring sight. A temple of such intricate carving it would be hard not to feel entranced.
Ranakpur - Udaipur
Into the Aravali hills today probably the best riding day of the tour so far and what better place to arrive than Udaipur the Venice of the East. Stunning views from the rooftops, palaces everywhere a real feast for the senses. One of the truly great cities of the Subcontinent.
Udaipur – Rest day
Udaipur for a rest day and a chance to explore the bazaars and palaces and soak up the atmosphere.
Udaipur - Deogarh
The ride today takes us to Deogarh a village filled with heritage buildings with a view over the Aravali hills.
Deogarh - Pushkar
Pushkar has long been a centre for travellers. The town is surrounded by desert and the lake is covered with temples and ghats. It is a very picturesque setting and also the home to the world famous camel fair.
Pushkar - Jaipur
Jaipur is the Pink City and the largest in Rajasthan. A UNESCO World Heritage site it is littered with things to see and is a very popular place for tourists to visit, including the Hawa Mahal and the Jal Mahal. Bustling bazaars and endless shopping opportunities give it a truly Indian buzz.
Jaipur - Delhi
The final day of the tour takes us back to Delhi. We will ride to Chandni Midway where we will be picked up for the drive into Delhi. A farewell dinner in a traditional Indian restaurant will conclude our journey through Rajasthan.
And so concludes our tour.
